If you don't have any symptoms ..don't show any doctor. Do some muscle strengthening. You will be fine..mri signals of partial tear are not that important in stable knee joint..regards dr pankaj agrawal

Avoid Squatting- Quadriceps Exercises- Lie straight, make a towel role and put it under the knee, press the keen against the role, hold it for 20 secs. Repeat 20 times twice a day. This will help relieve some pain. Core Strengthening Exercise- Straight Leg Raised With Toes Turned Outward, repeat 10 times, twice a day.

Acl tear is usually complete ,if you're question is weather to go for an acl reconstruction than it depends upon the instability ,even if you go for a surgery or not u have to start with your rehabilitation . All the best . Regards Dr rashmi sharma.

If your MRI report says partial tear, sometimes it may be complete tear. Even complete tear of ACL would allow you to walk. Your knee needs to be clinically examined for laxity(looseness) and a decision arrived at. Another indicator would be symptoms and the confidence you feel when you engage in walking fast, climbing stairs or running. If your Orthopaedic surgeon does not feel there is laxity and you dont feel any instabilty, then exercises would be the initial line of management.
