ACL complete tear or mild tear?
Hello, I had an injury 3 months back while playing badminton. After taking MRI scans, the first report showed that it is a complete ACL tear, but the second scans say mild tear in ACL. Is it possible that ACL is healed or any of the scans might be false?

Hello dear... First scenario.....If initial MRI taken immediately after injury, because of swelling partial tear might have appeared as full tear , hence in later MRI it appear as partial tear. Second scenario...in some cases because of scarring of complete torn ACL ends near to PCL hence in later MRI it appear as mild tear and intact. Consult orthopaedic specialist and get clinical physical examination which will confirm partial or complete tear ..good luck. .
