Drinking 1 lt water immediately before sleep is little too much... I guess u can either take 1-1.5 glass of water before sleep

It's better if you distribute your water intake throughout the day in different quantities. For example consume the maximum amount during the day and lessen the quantity before going to bed. If you have more water before sleeping it may interfere with your sleep cycle. Also as your age progresses the bladder becomes more active and you may not have a sound sleep at night which may be the cause of hypertension or uric acid related issue.

Hi, Everything has its own pros n cons. Age can also play a role in your sleep and urinary cycle. The older you become, the more likely you will develop an overactive bladder. Although it's advisable to take water throughout the day & before bed too, as the Blood Pressure remains stable in the night. But alongwith it there might be chances that your sleep cycles would be interrupted due to the water intake. Once your sleep cycles are disturbed there might be several issues like Stress, weight gain, lethargicness, lack of concentration etc. that pile up. So it's advisable to consume water half an hour before sleep.

It's not at all recommended to consume 1 lit water at a time either its early in the morning or just before bed.   Its always better to consume half to one glass of water at regular intervals (2.5 - 3.5 lit/ day depending on season) It may differ in some clinical conditions as well. Whatever available on net is not always authentic.

It's a good way to hydrate your body with 2.5 - 3 lt of water spread across the day. Avoid taking immediately after meals.
