Visited Dr. Shiva Kumar (Orthopedic surgeon)
I had met with accident recently and when i was strugling on road one girl actually refered me Doctor Shiva Kumar and i fell it as God's Instinct .
I am such Panic person who does not visit hospital even if any of my family members admitted in Hospital.I am very furious seeing different patients in Hospitals.
Doctor Shiva Kumar,is one of the best caring doctors and he actually made me in comfort zone and he explained clearly the procedure what he will be going through and which precautions the patient needs to go through which really helped me to recover soon.
Differnet Stages of Recovery:
1.Before Surgery
2.During Surgery
3.After Surgery
Before Surgery : My Bike fallen on my rightleg and which really was not helping me to stand and i was under impression doctor will just wrap my leg and i should be good togo home.
But from my X-ray and CT scan i got to know Tibia bone got fractured and need to under go surgery and need to stay in Hospital for 3 days.
Doctor explained me what exactly he would be doing as part of surgery but i was soo furious .
During Surgery : I was given anesthesia and Plate and Rods were inserted on my right leg for Tibia bone.
Surgery Took nearly 45 minutes and really i should thank this Doctor for just having stiches at 2 places instead of whole area .
i did not feel any pain during Surgery or even after post surgery alsoi did not have much pain due to medicines .
After Surgery:
Koshys Hospital services was good and nurses provided all medications on time and room was kept clean ,they helped me with physiotheraphy for first 2 days.
Physiotherapy:
I am blessed to have good physiotherapy lady and she was referred to me in Hospital.
She actually helped me to do different exercises and which really helped me recover from my pain little earlier .
Doctor also suggested me to do different exercise in my every visit.
Strongly suggest Dr. Shiva Kumar for Ortho related Problems to anyone,

Hoped for better:Â Wait time
Frustrated Service - A lot of time taking !!!!
I was visiting Koshys Hospital continuously from 2 days (28th and 29th Sep 2022) and each time the reception and ground staff is assuring to patients that soon doctor will attend you however based on my two visits, I have not seen Mr. Gowda was there for the OPD patient, he was just attending the surgeries and out of his 3 hours 30 minutes visiting hours (9:30 AM to 12 PM) hardly he is available 15-20 minutes for the OPD patient.
Being a OPD patient, if you are ready to wait for more than 2 hours then only you may prefer to meet Mr. Gowda else you may find some better alternatives in the city. I know surgical patients do require quite more attention but that doesn’t mean OPD patients are free for the entire day, they also have their regular commitments and deadlines, especially if someone is planning to take a day off to meet Mr. Gowda in Koshys hospital then it might not give you an appropriate results.
At my first visit on 28th Sep 2022 (around 10:25 AM) I have been informed that doctor is in OT and you need to wait or visit either in evening or tomorrow. At the next day on 29th Sep 2022 (around at 9:45 AM) where I was almost first in the queue to meet the doctor, again the same story Dr went for OT first and returned back by 11:35 or 40 AM. Overall if you are a surgical patient then it may be good choice for you but being a OPD patients hospital and management won’t respect you time, they might consider you are free for entire day and will treat accordingly.
I do have respect for OT patients but the hospital staff (who is already aware) that any surgery will take approx 2-3 hours so at least they could update the same to the patients however the billing desk is very well trained only for fixing the appointment* *** **** ********** ** ********* **************
The hospital management at-least update the proper visiting time for OPD patients because being an OPD patients if you want to meet Mr. Gowda in Koshys hospital, then timing are actually not from 9:30 AM to 12:00 PM, it’s just any random 30 minutes in between and almost upto 3 hours out of 3:30 hours is only for surgeries.
At the end, visiting to Mr. Gowda in Koshys hospital is not worth for the patients who do respect their time, rest it’s upto you…. Thanks!
My overall comments are based on waiting time because finally I decided to visit some other hospital since in my 2 days trial I never get chance to meet the doctor and at last I asked billing desk for the refund.
Very bad services in Koshys hospital !!!

Happy with:Â Explanation of the health issueTreatment satisfaction
I and my sister both had a pain attack for the second time in month of August 2021. We checked on oracto for nearby doctor and Dr. Maruthesh's name came first as per default sorting. We booked appointment at Koshys during mid August and he listened to both our Complains and queries and answered with the option available. Since we both siblings stayed alone and both were advised for a surgical procedure, we waited for our parents to be present in the city. In the meantime, we were in touch with Dr. Maruthesh and whichever tests he advised, we got it done and then once we made up our minds for the surgery, we fixed up a date and Dr. Maruthesh agreed for the same. On the day of surgery, Dr. Maruthesh met us, and was very cordial and answered all our queries and offcourse he made sure our surgery went well. He was also keeping our parents informed on the status of the surgery of both of us. Next day after the surgery, he visited us in our wards and clarified all doubts we had and also shared his advice on what all things we could do, and what all things we shouldn't and for how long. As of date while I am writing this feedback it's 2nd week after the surgery and still he is courteous enough to answer our questions or share his advice if we share any problem or concern. I strongly recommend everyone to visit him for his speciality - gastroenterology. We would like to thank Dr. Maruthesh and wish him all the best for his happiness, well being and success in all endeavours.

Consulted initially for abdominal pain, ECG is done to rule out heart problem. Prescribed medicine for days and advised to consult again if it is reoccurring with preparation for endoscopy .
After 2 months, I got fever which is diagnosed as jaundice. During treatment for that in ultrasound test gallbladder stones are found. I was advised to consult surgeon.
I have consulted Dr. Maruthesh Gowda by preparing for Endoscopy. Doctor did endoscopy, found that one stone dropped from gallbladder. Doctor advised that it is better to go for removal surgery as there is possibility that stones may stuck in bile ducts which would further complicate the process. He shared me one web page with all details regarding gall bladder stones for patient education.
I got admitted into hospital on 8th of Jul, after starting the procedure Doctor stopped the surgery as he suspected cancer. I was sent for MRCP (MRI) for further analysis. Discharged with advise that surgery will be done after a week.
Surgery is further postponed due to my LFT values. Finally surgery was dine on 30th July. It is successful.
Though I have concerns with Koshy's hospital. I am happy with the doctor.
Though some may complain doctor do not give time for discussions., he will limit to what is essential.
Doctor do not prescribe tests / medicine unnecessarily.
