Visited Dr. Sunder Narasimhan (General Surgeon) For Vascular Laser Surgery
Happy with:Â Wait time
I visited Bengaluru in the month of October 2022 and after consultation with one of the doctors of Basanthnagar locality's hospital, it was suggested that the set up of a stent was extremely necessary and inevitable. I was totally astonished as there were no such symptoms at all. Even regarding my vericose vein problem, there were no problems of itching, swelling or clotting etc.
Then one of my friend of Astra Zeneca gave me his reference and during consultation he elaborately described all the procedures. He almost did the colour droppler test in presence of my wife and friend himself without charging a penny. Thereafter he also drew the blood circulation path of the lower part of our body and vividly described the necessity of the stent.
Last but not the least he told us about the procedure of Angiogram and informed us that just before the operation he would perform the Angiogram test and if any blockage was detected, he would opt for its removal via the balloon treatment unless the blockage is too severe.
We were very happy with his detailed explanation and made up our mind to be operated under him.
On 18.11.22. i.e. on the date of operation and after the Angiogram, the Doctor informed me that there was no blockage, the dye was flowing very smoothly and thus there was no need for the placement of any stent. I was fully relaxed before my varicose vein operation through Laser Technology.
Now after the operation, on that very day I was able to walk slowly at late night and the recovery process is going on smoothly. On 25.11.22 after final check up with the doctor S.Narasimhan, we returned to Kolkata.
I sincerely convey my gratitude to Dr. S.Narasimhan, Dr Manju ( his Junior ) and his whole team ( I apologize for not being able to recollect their names ) for their excellent work and strongly recommend this Doctor and his team for varicose vein related problems.
Dr Narasimhan is very friendly, approachable, and always gives ample time to his patient and relatives to clear any persisting doubts. And most important thing is that most of the time he himself takes up the job irrespective of it being a colour droppler test or a simple task of bandaging.
Only thing I would like to add here is that there is a need of operation clips and hope that infrastructure will be developed by Apollo Bannerghatta Unit in near future.
I again thank Dr. Narasimhan and his team for their excellent work. May their skillful work gets known to a wider audience and prosper.

I would like to thank Dr. Sunder Narasimhan for performing excellent surgery on my mother's limbs which was diagnosed for Bilateral lover limb varicose veins.
I had previously visited a reputed hospital for an annual health checkup for my mother who is 68 years old. Along with it we had checked on the discoloring (skin turning dark-black) near the ankles and foot. We were suggested to perform the Doppler Scan which further diagnosed to Lower Limb Varicose Veins, which needed an immediate surgery. But we weren't too confident on the surgeons in that reputed hospital, although they were the ones who identified it but then identification is one thing and performing a 100% surgery was something I was not confident about.
I came back home and started to search for Vascular Surgeons online and among a few I came across Dr. Sunder Narasimhan. I started to read about him, his experience, his accomplishments and mostly the reviews about him. I had a strong positive hunch about him and I knew my search ended here. I took an appointment with him for the very next day, consulted him with my mother along with the reports. He then suggested EVLT which was painless procedure and explained us in detail as to how it would be done and what would be the post surgery process and reactions if any.
Considering my mother had no issues with BP, diabetics or any other health issues we decided to go for the surgery the very next day and got my mother admitted.
The surgery went extremely well, I had full faith in the doctor and which is why the waiting period during the surgery was a little less stressful.
The surgery went for about 1.5 hours with additional 2-3 hours of waiting period in the OT as the local anesthesia had to wear out and my mother had to come in conscious. She had a slight pain though in the operated area but otherwise she was completely fine.
We got discharged the very next day, and a follow-up consolation in 3 days, my mom was asked to continue wearing the stockings for few weeks and she was asked to not take rest and keep walking and keep getting hydrated all the time.
Lastly, if it is a vascular surgery and if you have any doubts in the surgeon then Dr. Sunder Narasimhan is the one you need, hands down, full points for him for the way him and his team conducted themselves from the start till the end.
Thank you very much doctor, from both me and my mom. God bless you.

Hoped for better:Â Doctor friendlinessExplanation of the health issueTreatment satisfaction
Very bad experience, not at all expected from a institution like this, let me give a short brief which might help others too as I too check review before taking the appointment through practo. So my problem is with Dr Ramesh Lady assistant and partially with the respected doctor too. I went with my dad inside the cabin at that moment some emergency come up so doctor left for emergency Ward(I was not knowing, assistant told me later) ,so mean while lady assistance asked me required question I gave all the answers politely ,then she told us to go and do ECG and ECO and come back, I said ma'am we are here for consultation as after putting stent I wanted him(dad) to see a doctor because there are some issues he is facing like cough and allergies nothing else.also now onwards whether we go to General physician for regular checkup or not. can we see the doctor and then we plan accordingly. Rudely, she told "OK go and wait out side" doctor will come later as he is occupied, I asked "how long I have to wait ma'am", "need time " her answer. I asked can u be specific as, if my dad case is not a cardio problem then I need to see general physicia too. Then she said "OK wait for 15-20 min I'll call you.
Doctor came, he asked what is the issue patient facing ? Told all of them whatever I said to Lady assist, then they did whatever they need to, then while Leaving Dr. Ramesh said " don't be restless we have lot of other patients to check", so told him clearly "what so ever been communicated to you was wrongly misinterpreted, I never asked I want to meet doctor immediately, I clearly said I can wait if I know how long I have to".
Now tell me someone when I was restless and when did I said I want to meet Doc asap.
As he is very senior doc, I don't want to create any nuisance, didn't say anything further and left.
