Would like to share my experience regarding Dr. Ajay B. R. (Consultant, Medical Gastroenterology) at Aster Whitefield, Bangalore.

We have been consulting Dr. Ajay for the treatment of my mother, and the experience has been consistently reassuring and professional. Despite managing a very busy OPD schedule, Dr. Ajay demonstrated exceptional patience during every consultation. He listened carefully to all our concerns, never made us feel rushed, and ensured that each question was addressed thoroughly. His ability to analyze the potential root cause of the problem and explain complex medical matters in clear, simple terms was extremely helpful.

Most importantly, he conveyed a strong sense of partnership and reassurance, making us feel confident that we were navigating this treatment journey together.

During the colonoscopy procedure as well, Dr. Ajay’s approach stood out. His guidance on preparation beforehand was clear and practical, which helped reduce anxiety for the patient. Throughout the procedure, he maintained a calm and respectful interaction with the patient, patiently listening to concerns and explaining what was being done at each stage. He also took the time to explain the images, the clinical observations, and the next steps, which greatly helped in building trust and understanding. His patience, professionalism, and perseverance deserve special recognition.

A good leader is reflected in the quality of their team, and this was clearly visible in the procedure room. The support staff, nursing team, and coordinators assisting Dr. Ajay were extremely caring, attentive, and supportive. They ensured my mother was comfortable and well cared for throughout the process, which speaks highly of the culture and standards maintained within the team.

It is also worth highlighting the immense context-switching that Dr. Ajay manages daily, switching between OPD consultations and medical procedures while still providing thoughtful, individualized attention to each patient. Maintaining this level of focus, empathy, and clinical clarity across so many patients each day is truly commendable and deserves recognition.

I sincerely hope Dr. Ajay’s dedication and patient-centric approach receive the recognition and appreciation they truly deserve from Aster’s management. I would be happy to share additional details about our experience.

A couple of constructive feedback for Aster Management (to elevate the experience further)

1) There is a significant opportunity to leverage technology to reduce administrative and manual overhead for doctors. With the rapid evolution of AI in healthcare, integrating intelligent tools to assist with documentation, workflow management, and patient coordination could meaningfully improve operational efficiency. Even saving a few minutes per doctor each day could compound into substantial productivity gains across the system.

2) There is definitely a scope to further strengthen the role of coordinators in connecting the dots between patients and doctors especially in situations where a quick clarification or input from the doctor is needed but a hospital visit may not be immediately feasible. Enhancing training and communication workflows in this area could further improve the overall patient experience.

Overall, we are grateful for the care and professionalism demonstrated by Dr. Ajay and the entire team.

We came across Dr. Dheeraj Shyam while searching for a highly experienced Interventional Radiologist in Bangalore for my brother, who resides in Odisha and is undergoing dialysis treatment. He had developed vein clots near his heart and neck, which had led to severe swelling in his body. Upon consulting with doctors in Odisha, we were informed that his case was extremely critical and that performing the procedure would be life-threatening.

However, our experience changed entirely when we consulted Dr. Dheeraj Shyam. My Nephew of 7 year old in Manipur has been complaining of pain in his hip joint, and worsening at night. We took him to few doctors there and even after 2 months it is not improving instead he started limping and stopped playing due to the pain. So we got him to Bangalore and took him to Aster hospital and with the MRI scan, it was diagnosed as Osteoid Osteoma. And we were Referred to Doctor Dheeraj Shyam, the interventional radiologist. We met the doctor and he and his team explained the treatment procedure called RFA, radio frequencyablation, however the treatment cost was something we were not comfortable and we looked around the hospital in Bangalore who perform the same treatment. However we dont find any other more reliable and we met again the doctor, he promised that the cost is something he can looked for support to reduce and the most heart warming for us was his approachable nature, detail explanation and the interest he took in the treatment procedure. I recently underwent Uterine Fibroid Embolization(UAE/UFE) procedure performed by Dr.Dheeraj Shyam in Aster Whitefield. I am extremely grateful for the care and professionalism shown throughout the entire process. From the initial consultation to the post-operative follow-ups, Dr.Dheeraj and Dr.Madhushree were professional, compassionate, and highly skilled.

They took the time to explain the procedure in detail multiple times, answered all my questions patiently, and made me feel confident and reassured throughout the entire process. The surgery went smoothly, and I have recovered well, thanks in large part to Dr. Dheeraj and Dr.Madhushree's expertise and the excellent care provided by their team.

After the surgery, I was a bit anxious and initially wanted to extend my stay in the hospital.
