Despite the complexity and risks involved in taking over a high-risk twin pregnancy midway, she welcomed me with open arms. To my immense relief and gratitude, my baby did not require NICU care and we were able to go home just three days after delivery. I honestly can’t thank my gynaecologist, Dr. Supritha Ma’am enough for everything she’s done for me and my baby. My entire pregnancy was going really smooth and normal, so I never expected anything unexpected towards the end. But during my 37th week, when I went in for an NST, there were some fluctuations noticed, and I was asked to get admitted for observation just to be safe.

At that moment, I was obviously a bit anxious, but looking back now, I’m so grateful for how carefully everything was handled. While I was under observation, my doctor made the call to go ahead with a C-section, and that decision truly made all the difference. When my baby was delivered, we found out that there were two loops of the umbilical cord around the neck, which could have been really risky if not handled on time.
