Thank you for your feedback. I find it unfortunate that my treatment did not work for you. I would like to clear out a few things. Never in my entire practice have I ever told a patient, 'it's in your head, get over it'. It's not only disrespectful to the patient seeking help, but to the profession of psychiatry as well. So it is possible that you may have misunderstood what you I was trying to communicate. Also, a psychiatric session and a therapy session are two very different things. A therapy session focuses on counselling and psychotherapy and a psychiatric session mostly focuses on managing the illness medically. So yes, it can feel like you've visited a physician. Because psychiatrists are physicians and not primarily psychotherapists. Having said that, all the best for your future. Hope you get better soon.
