Dr. Prachi Shah

She does not mollycoddle. She is not your mommy. An outright professional. I can understand why some people feel it is a psychologist's job to hand hold you through your recovery. But personally, I feel she takes my concerns seriously and treats them as such. Empowerment is a big part of recovery and I believe Dr. Prachi has gone through so many patients that she knows from experience how to diagnose and get started on the treatment without allowing her patients to dwell too much on what they think is wrong with them. She is patient and open to hear of all that worries us but has what some would call the decisiveness of a pro. This I am certain upsets a lot of people looking to vent with no regard for the process. I thoroughly benefitted from my visit with her. Looking forward to my follow-ups. For those looking for a no-nonsense, wake me up and put me on a path to recovery, she is definitely the person to consult. If you want to go on and on in circles and continue to indulge yourself and your thoughts and not take action, find someone else. She is a do-er. Question is, are you?

Ambience is quite nice and peaceful which becomes easy to ventilate your problems . Doctor is nice and gives you well deserved attention and ears to listen to your problems. So far been diagnosed with issues of depression medicines have been prescribed can only comment after few weeks as to how it’s effecting my health and well being. Overall received **** treatment and attention from the doctor.

When I started treatment, honestly I had no hope to come out of Depression, anxiety and nervous breakdown. She tolerated my agitative, moody, highly irritative behaviour. ********** ***** ** *** ****** *** **** helped me a lot to move ahead with all my strengths.

I would like to share her few thoughts which she used to tell me that my grief and tears can't change past neither my anxiety a future. All I could do is living in present and give my best to today.

She made me realise that before I started living happily, the time which spent in grief was wasted.

Doctor helped me emotionally too along with medication.

Once again I would like to thank her. I would recommend all those who are seeking trustworthy, honest & efficient doctor then she is the right one ** **** ****

Disclaimer: Long review.

The first time I visited Dr. Prachi, she heard me for about 20 minutes and prescribed two medicines and asked me to come see her in a week. I did as I was told, I went back and told her I wasn't feeling entirely better but it was improving. She added another medicine, increased the dosage for one and sent me off, this "session" lasted about 15 minutes. This seemed odd since it wasn't a therapy session at all, it seemed like a follow up session with a GP. I tried to keep my inhibitions aside and give it another chance thinking that maybe she had a different approach to these things.

I went to her a week later (like she asked me to) and we started talking. I did not find the advice she gave me helpful since it almost seemed like she was saying "it's all in your head, get over it". That would've been fine had she helped me figure out a way to "get over it" but she didn't. The final nail in the coffin was when it started to seem like she was constantly trying to wrap the session up and I saw her slyly glance at her watch.

I have been to several psychologists and psychiatrists in the past 1-2years, I have never felt this way with any of them.

The doctor was either disinterested or just did not know what to do. She did not provide me with any constructive feedback. If I needed someone to tell me what problems I have, I would've asked a couple of my friends to counsel me. What I needed was someone who could help me work through them and not just make statements. I understand therapy takes time but I really don't think I'm comfortable with this doctor at all.

Conclusion: She gave me problems but no solutions to those problems. I will not be visiting this doctor again.

During my first consultation doctor prescribed me some medicines and asked me to see her after few days. ***** ****** *** ********** the following morning I could not wake up normal and felt very dizzy and sleepy despite of more than 8 hour sleep. And the next day and the day after I was unable to get rid off the heavy feeling of sleep and so my two days I could not do anything but just slept. Third day when I called on the number given on Google, no one answered despite of making repeated calls. 2 days after I got a reminder call from her assistant about the next follow-up so I told her what I went through so she assured that she would call me back once the doctor is in the clinic. The call never came.

I read positive reviews on practo about the doctor and booked an appointment. my first impression - doctor is not in at the time of appointment. second impression - the doctor sits with her hands folded with no smile and attitude which shows that she is least interested in her patient. third - the doctor just asked continuous questions and in 10 minutes finished the appointment where as the time is for 30 minutes. in 10 minutes she tells me that I am in depression which I already know. she gave me 3 medicines which I consulted with my family doctor and my sister who is a psychologist, I even googled the medicines. *** ********* **** *** **** *********** ******* ********* ******** *** *** **** ********** ********* In 10 mins the doctor could decide that I require medicines for bipolar disorder and seizures. Luckily I consulted my family doctor and was recommended another doctor. I had read the previous reviews and visited the doctor however this is my experience.

Visited the doctor for treatment of depression few days ago. I am very happy with the whole experience. The doctor patiently listened to what I was going through. She then proceeded to explain my condition to me. We also talked about my general life situations. After all of that, we discussed a treatment plan which included medications, counseling and practical solutions to my problems. The medication has started working well, I am starting feel better and optimistic about my future. Looking forward to completing treatment and getting back to my previous happy self again.

Dr. Prachi is amazing. Not only is she patient and understanding but also kind and friendly. Amazing art her craft, she hears you out completely and then through a baited dialogue, explains the solutions and guides you through the treatment process. She is everything a psychiatrist should be and I can easily say that she conducts her practice with thorough honesty, working beautifully to help people. In today's day and age where mental health needs attention but it's still considered a stigma, we need more doctor's like her to make solutions to mental health accessible. Good job doctor!

I went for depression treatment. She is not ready to counselling. What ever i said that time her replay only to take this medicine it will be all right. That's it .. even she is not ask me previous history .or anything . If i ask anything she is continuous tell me take medicine and don't overdose .

as a very first visit with her i don't think i got time to explain myself..neither felt the interest from the doctor to know me n my situation.it was wrapping up asap and see the next patient.
