I visited Dr. Chintan Hegde for my right Knee Replacement surgery last month. He explained entire procedure with assurity that after operation I will soon start walking. I got operated on 22 June 2023 and True to his words I started walking within second week of operation without any support. I used Walker only for a week . I absolutely followed his instruction , physiotherapy and exercise. It built confidence in me to walk without any help. I was able to go out of house ALONE within 1 month.
So I had very positive experience with Dr. Chintan Hegde. He was friendly, polite, available and committed throughout the procedure. He is an excellent orthopedic surgeon . Grateful that I met him. I shall highly recommend him .
Thank you Dr. Chintan Hegde.

I visited him as my left hand was not moving. He told that it's due to frozen shoulder and calcification in my shoulder. He suggested physiotherapy will not work, I will have to take steroids injection in my left hand plus will be giving anesthesia in operation theatre and will free my hand movements. ** *** *** ** ** * **** **** **** ** *** ********* I came home did some push ups and dead hangs on pull up bar. Dr. Hegde conducted an ACL reconstruction using hamstring graft which failed within 11 months and has caused permanent damage to my hamstring, despite correctly following all physiotherapy protocols. As a result, I had to undergo revision ACL surgery from another orthopedic, this time using the Quad Tendon.
Nearly 3 years on, I still have major issues with my hamstring muscle and keep pulling or injuring it even with slighty intensive movements such as butt kicks or hamstring presses. No amount of physiotherapy and exercises have helped remedy this. I want to make it clear that right after the surgery to several months later, I constantly experienced immense pain, destabilization, crepitus and locking up in my knee but these complaints were all dismissed by Dr. Hegde whose entire tone and behaviour changed by this time. He became hasty, irritable and didn't seem to have the time or patience to listen to or acknowledge my issues nor any interest to follow up about my condition.
When I tore my ACL for the second time and consulted with another doctor post-MRI, it become evident that the tunnels made during the initial surgery were misaligned and too much of the hamstring was cut/removed without close attention. Thanks to this horrible life altering decision of choosing a bad surgeon, I am now on course for early arthritis and have to struggle with lingering knee and muscle problems for the rest of my life!

We had visited Dr. Chintan for my grandmother's knee replacement surgery. He explained the entire procedure well enough to give her(grandmother) and use enough confidence to go ahead with the surgery. It was done for both her knees with a gap of 2 days and the entire experience was a breeze. All the way from his professionalism, punctuality, friendliness and experience in this field helped us have a really positive experience and now, 6 months after the surgery my grandmother is doing well and has no pain and is walking around normally.
I would personally highly recommend Dr. Chintan.
Bad experience, kept us waiting for an hour and then left. Wasted so much of out time and I was not in a condition to come then too I pushed myself to get medical help and this happens.
