Before working out, I stretch. In cooking, some ingredients need to be chopped in advance. At night, before I go to bed, I do my night routine.
You see, some additional preparations are needed to make certain activities more effective, efficient or tolerable. Today, I’ll share some of my pre-work routines for a more focused and relaxed atmosphere:
♦ Write a to-do list the night before
♦ Tidy my desk
♦ Set my intention upon waking up (What do I want to accomplish today?)
♦ Meditate
♦ Stretch (yoga or Qi Gong)
♦ Depending on the time, I make sure to eat something.
♦ Prepare a beverage (glass of water or tea for me)
♦ Set up the ambiance of my workspace by turning on my Himalayan salt lamp.
♦ Play a calming music
These may sound a lot but since it’s already a habit, I don’t mind doing them every single day. These little steps are simple yet effective in helping me enter The Zone.
