Lumbarspondylosis is the degenerative condition of the lumbar region of the spine.This pathological condition includes- Disc herniation, Facet jointosteoarthritis, disc prolapse or bulge & Bone spurs.
SYMPTOMSOF LUMBAR SPONDYLOSIS INCLUDES:
The first andmain symptom of lumbar spondylosis is a pain in the lower part of the spine, itoccurs due to compression of nerve roots from disc herniation bone spurs orthickened ligaments.
The lowerback pain of lumbar spondylosis caused by an intervertebral disc herniation ismade worse by a prolonged period of bending forward while sitting.
Lumbar spondylosis caused by facet joint osteoarthritis in which Back pain is worsewhen standing and is relieved by sitting or bending forward.
Pain in thelegs may be a symptom of lumbar spondylosis it occurs due to compression ofnerves that extend into the leg through the lumbar portion of the spine.
Lumbars pondylosis can also cause weakness, numbness, and cramping in the buttocks,legs, or feet.
In severecases, lumbar spondylosis can cause compression of the spinal cord and thedevelopment of lumbar myelopathy. This condition can cause problems withcoordination & balance.
