Toner: Toner is a great step to add to your skincare routine to maintain clear and healthy skin. Traditionally, toners were used to restore your skin’s pH balance after cleansing. But today’s toners do that and so much more.
During warm weather months, a toner can come in handy to combat breakouts caused by sweat, sunblocks and dirt clogging our pores. Our skin also tends to be more oily during sticky summer days. Toner is most helpful if you have acne prone skin. Choose an alcohol-free toner and simple soothing facial toner.
Moisturizer: You might think you don't require moisturizer but all skin needs moisturizer. If you have oily Acne or oily skin choose oil-free and non-comedogenic moisturizer so that it did not block the pores. For dry skin choose a moisturizer that soothes dryness and has long-lasting hydrating benefits. For sensitive skin choose lightweight fragrance-free moisturizer this will ensure your skin does not get irritated.
Sunscreen: The sun can damage your skin in just a few minutes. Look for a sunscreen that works for both UVA and UVB rays with an SPF of at least 30. Wear it every day especially 20 mins before you step out in sun and re-apply after every two to three hours. Dry skin craves for moisture and so sunscreen with moisturizing ingredients is ideal for this type of skin. The oily skin comes with the risk of acne or allergy. It is best to avoid cream based products. Choose water-based sunscreen. For sensitive skin choose hypoallergenic and fragrance-free sunblocks.
