In periodontitis patients, bleeding from gums is a major problem due to inflammatory conditions. This inflammation is because of local factors like plaque & calculus, in periodontitis patients there will be increase in periodontal pocket depth that leads to the food lodgement which makes the patient difficult for removal of plaque & calculus and causing inflammatory condition that results in bleeding gums. One can prevent this condition by eliminating all the causative factors like: plaque, calculus & food lodgement. This requires professional cleaning or even flap surgeries.
