Sugar is bad for your teeth. It’s not that sweets should be banned from your diet completely but frequent consumption of those sugary treats is not a good idea. Drinking too much of cold drinks, binging on toffees and chocolates, consumption of preserved foods high on sugar content can lead to dental problems in the future.

Inspite of all these issues with sugary foods, if you find still yourself giving into temptation, consuming a glass of water would save you. Drinking water would clean all residual sugar from your mouth and keep it clean and free from bad breath. In short, increase your water intake while you decrease your sugar intake.
