Pre-operative dental radiographs (X-rays) are taken for evaluation of the nerve position and the size of the tooth, so as to make sure there is no damage to the tooth. Sufficient thickness of enamel should the present in order to carry out cosmetic re-contouring.

DENTAL VENEERS (LAMINATES)
Veneers or laminates are custom made, wafer thin shells made of tooth colored materials to cover the front surface of the tooth in order to enhance its appearance, change their color, alter their shape or size.
Veneers is the treatment of choice for people with multiple or discolored fillings on the front teeth, thin or worn down teeth, largely chipped or broken teeth, irregularly shaped teeth, teeth with gaps or people wanting smile designing.
The procedure involves at least two visits, first visit if for preparation and making impression of the teeth for veneers and the second for bonding the veneers to the teeth. Permanent Veneers are custom made in a dental laboratory and it may take about 5-6 working days for the same. During this time, the dentist places temporary veneers.
