Vulval warts, also known as genital warts, are caused by certain strains of the human papillomavirus (HPV). HPV is a sexually transmitted infection that can affect the genital and anal areas. Vulval warts are growths on the skin and mucous membranes in the genital area, and they can vary in size and appearance. Here are some key points regarding the reasons and treatment of vulval warts:

 Causes:

  1. HPV Infection: Vulval warts are primarily caused by infection with certain strains of HPV, particularly types 6 and 11. These are considered low-risk types of HPV.
  2.  Sexual Transmission: HPV is mainly transmitted through sexual contact, includingvaginal, anal, or oral sex. It can also be transmitted through closeskin-to-skin contact.
  3. Risk Factors: Multiple sexual partners increase the risk of HPV infection. Weakened immune system, smoking, and other factors may also contribute to the development and persistence of genital warts.

Symptoms:

Wart Appearance: Vulval warts often appear as small, flesh-colored,  growths in the genital and anal areas. They can be flat or raised, single or in clusters, and have a cauliflower-like appearance. Itching or Discomfort: Some individuals may experience itching or discomfort in the affected area.
