Rajasthan, popularly called the land of sands is a place to remote to live, to breathe, to float, to move and fly as well as to gain all while you give. It is a place with magnificent heritage and best hospitality. It is place full of adornment and highly devoted to culture. Be it bravery or tourism or even food, Rajasthan has always been the best part. 

Whenever we say about Rajasthani cuisine, the first thing that comes in mind is Dal-Baati-Churma or Lal Maans or Mohan Maas or Bajre ki Khichri or even Gatte ki Sabzi. 

Do give a try some of these sumptuous recipes directly hailing from this place which are not healthy but also taste the best.

1. Makki ka Dhokla: Makki Ka Dhokla is a soft & savory steamed cake traditionally associated with the Indian state of Rajasthan. It's made from a dough of Maize Flour (Makki Ka Atta) and crushed green peas and is relatively wholesome. Makki ka Dhokla can be eaten with Green Chutney and generally in Rajasthan it's eaten with urad dal. It can be taken as a main course or as a side dish. This dhokla is a healthy food on account of high protein, calcium and mineral content of Maize. It's also lower in fat content since the dhokla is substantially cooked by steaming.

2. Mooli ki Churi: Mooli ki Churi is a quick, succulent and easy to make salad made with grated radish and tomatoes. The bitter and strong taste of radish in this salad is balanced out by the flavor and tanginess of tomatoes, lemon and salt. Mooli Ki Churi is genuinely restorative and can be served as an accompaniment with any Indian style meal. This salad is also relatively healthy and greatly digestive. Radish is also rich in minerals, helps control cholesterol and is a good source of vitamins.

3. Kachi Haldi Ki Sabzi: Kachi Haldi Ki Sabji (Fresh Turmeric Curry) is a winter delicacy and a traditional recipe from the state of royals, Rajasthan. Made using fresh turmeric roots, ghee, yogurt, and essential everyday spices, it's nourishing, easy to make, and has a vibrant yellow tinge to it. Fresh haldi (Kachi Haldi) gives the sabji an earthy fiery flavor with a slightly bitter taste, which is balanced by the use of ghee and fresh yogurt. This sabzi is especially prepared in winters as it provides heat to the body and helps to maintain body temperature in extremely cold temperatures and generally served with Bajre ki Roti or Phulka.

4. Kale Chane ki Sabzi: This recipe comes from Jaisalmerfamously called Jaisalmerwale Chane. This is made with kala chana(black chickpeas which is simmered with spices and curd. We know that Rajasthan is full of sands and green leafy vegetables barely grow. As a result, the malnutrition rate rose up. Hence, to overcome, this recipe is suitable. The goodness of kala chana  and yogurt provides optimum protein andcalcium that keeps going in this arid place. The spices incorporated in it maintains the metabolism throughout the day.

5. Imli ka Amlana: Amlana is a fun and delicious drinkthat originates from Rajasthan. It’s made with tamarind pulp, seasoned withpepper and cardamom and garnished with mint. This drink is packed full of tasteand the subsequent benefits you get from spices and herbs. The most salientfeature of this beverage is, of course, the tamarind.

6. Panchkuta: One of the most popular Rajasthani Food delicacy, ker which is a wild berry is turned into a vegetable when mixed with Sangri, along bean. Ker tastes tangy and peppery in taste. Sangri is a mainstay during drought when little else is available as it is 53% protein and is abundantly grown in thedesert areas of Jaisalmer and Barmer.  Panchkuta is a quintessential curry of the landof Rajasthan and is very rare to find somewhere else. It is made upof five ingredients found widely across the Thar Desert. These 5 ingredients of panchkuta are sangri, ker, Kumat(seeds from the pod of a deciduous tree), gunda (akind of wild berry) and dry red chilies.
