Stomach ulcers are essentially open sores within the lining of the stomach.They are a type of
peptic ulcers caused either by inflammation or by erosion from stomach acids.
Most of the people who eats highly masala rich,gravy,spicy and deep fried foods with less
amount of water intake are more prone to suffer from peptic ulcer.
Inorder to combat or control peptic ulcer, a person suffering from it needs to take care about
his or her eating patterns along with concentrating on healthy lifestyle like doing regular exercise.
Some of the basic diet tips to follow in case of peptic ulcer here i am sharing as follow:-
A) Eat a healthy diet rich in complex carbs such as brown rice,whole wheat bread,millets like
ragi,quinoa,buckwheat,jowar etc in moderate to liberal amounts.
B) Add on small amounts of veg proteins such as pulses arhar dhal,moong dhal etc
and legumes like white chick peas,kidney beans etc with any green vegs or leafy vegs
like amaranth,palak etc or with other vegs like pumpkin,brinal etc.
C) Add on low fat milk and milk products like curd,paneer etc in moderate amounts.
D) Try to add on fruits like apples,ripe papaya,watermelon etc.avoid all citrus fruits like
oranges etc. to check unnecessary inflammation inside the stomach.
E) Try to eat foods in good cooking oils like olive oil,soyabean oils.Try to give foods in
either stewed or grilled or baked form etc.
F) Try to have small frequent meals on each 2-2.5hours of gaps rather than eating foods
on large gaps.
G) Try to avoid having late night eating patterns that too eating heavy meals,masala rich
foods.
H) Try to have green vegs like bottle gourds, ash gourd, raw papaya,parwal,okra etc as well
as leafy vegs and other vegs in required amounts to get fiber.
I) Try to have adequate amounts of water approx 3ltrs for flushing out of toxins from
the body.
J) Try to chew foods properly while eating to avoid flatulence issues.
By following these healthy diet tips one can control peptic ulcer issues and lead
a healthy life.
