It has many harmful effects in the brain, like mood changes, anxiety, difficulty walking, memory and speech impairment and many psychiatric problems.
Drinking alcohol during pregnancy can impact the baby and could lead to foetal alcohol syndrome, learning and behavioural difficulties, reduced brain size and distinctive facial features.
It also impacts your social life and manifests in antisocial behaviour and crime, relationship break down and increased need of mental health support.
It also puts dents in your financial status, leads to absence from work and reduced income, money gets lost in alcohol and associated risky behaviours, and also Dealing with law enforcing agencies.
