1) Green Leafy Vegetables

It goes without saying that these vegetable are rich in nutrients your child’s young body needs. It can be quite challenging to feed them though. Consider adding it to omelettes, wraps, homemade burgers, and other things they like.

2) Yogurt/Probiotic

Stomach infections are common in children and it’s mostly because of bad bacteria. Yogurt is a good probiotic to include in your child’s diet to fight gastro-related illnesses. If your child doesn’t like plain curd, you can try giving them flavoured ones, or in other forms like buttermilk, raita, etc.

3) Citrus Fruits

Citrus fruits are rich in Vitamin C and helps increase your child’s immunity against common cold, flu, fever, and other seasonal infections.

4) Nuts

When your child has hunger pangs at odd timings, nuts can be a good substitute to candies and chocolates. They are rich in proteins, vitamins, minerals, and required anti-oxidants.

5) Proteins

Proteins in any form are good for your child. Include it in their meals in the form of eggs (the best), meat, or pulses.
