It's mainly due to long-time use of abnormal posture while working or sleeping ways. It may be postural issues coz of weakness of muscles of cervicothoracic region as well as chances of nerve compression followed by weakness that's why feeling winged of shoulder blade. Need to asses by Physiotherapist physically as well as clinically then go for specific tests esp. MRI,Vit.D3. In X-ray we get only structural issues. Regards.

Winged shoulder blades are mostly because of weakness of a muscle called serratus anterior. Getting yourself examined clinically is better so that the necessary strengthening exercises can begin.

You first need to rule out if it's your neck or your shoulder is causing that winging in your shoulder blade and then work accordingly. Winging of your blade suggests that your upper back muscles are not stabilizing that shoulder that's why maybe you are not able to raise that hand up. You can visit the clinic for a thorough examination
Next Steps
work on your upper back muscles that is your shoulder stabilizers.
