The tooth you have marked has a cavity. So the infection from the cavity can always reflect in the gums. This could be because of dental caries and not directly a gum disease.
You should get it examined clinically.
Hi, The white spots and gum pain you’re experiencing are likely due to an infection from the decayed tooth visible in the picture. This may also be related to periodontal (gum) disease. A proper clinical examination and an X-ray at a nearby dental clinic will help confirm the exact cause. Based on the X-ray, the tooth may require a root canal treatment or a cavity filling, depending on the extent of decay. Please don’t delay, as early treatment can prevent the issue from getting worse.
From the pic as well as recent history of gum pain.Dear patient you are likely to have periodontal infection aka gum disease
.please do a dental visit soon...
