Post-pregnancy weight gain along with bloating, fatigue, increased appetite, and migraines is common, but it shouldn’t be ignored. Hormonal shifts, sleep disruption, stress, thyroid imbalance, or micronutrient deficiencies (iron, B12, vitamin D) may be contributing. Fat loss after pregnancy requires a structured nutrition approach, not just exercise.
Key Guidance (Pointers):
- First, consider checking thyroid profile, iron, B12, and vitamin D if not done recently.
- Avoid extreme dieting. Follow a moderate calorie deficit with balanced meals.
- Eat 3 main meals + 1–2 small snacks to control appetite and prevent migraine triggers.
- Include lean protein in every meal (dal, paneer, eggs, chicken, fish, tofu) to improve satiety.
- Choose complex carbs (roti, brown rice, millets, oats) instead of refined foods.
Add healthy fats (nuts, seeds, limited ghee) in controlled portions.
- Reduce excess sugar, packaged snacks, and high-salt foods (may worsen bloating).
- Stay well hydrated and prioritize 7–8 hours of sleep where possible.

Start having Fennel seed water first thing in the morning, have small frequent meals, stay hydrated well in the form of buttermilk, soup, flower tea, veggie juices, coconut water, infused water etc. Along with physical activity.

Hi
There is no fixed weight loss plan ( for all). Each person is an individual where physical, mental, emotional make up and demands are different.
Also we need to know how old is the baby? Are you still breastfeeding the baby ?
Are there any other health issues all these things need to be considered before a diet plan can be suggested.
Pls contact me through Practo for the personalized plan
Especially since it is post Partum situation.
In general eat plenty of fruits, green leafy vegetables and if non veg eat fish and eggs and limit red meat.
Add more Green vegetables in diet... Take more water... Add fruuts in diet... Reduce simple carb intake like sugar, sweets, honey etc... Add more protein like fish,chicken,egg...
