Today I had my scheduled oral vitamin D dose and had to later get a B12 injection but due to some miscommunication on the nurse's part and my part what she did was she gave me a vitamin D injection. I should have cross checked. Is there anything to worry about? I have health anxiety so I'm worried about the high dose. I know the oral dosage was 60,000 IU but don't know about the injection's dose. Is there a risk like toxicity, what should I do?

It would have been nice if you have mentioned your vitamin D and B12 levels. Still it's not going to harm you in anyway

Acute toxicity is unlikely so don’t worry
Still look for symptoms of hypercalcemia like nausea abdominal pain polyuria unexplained fatigue weakness or confusion. If any other symptoms appear do consult your general physician or consult here on practo
Next Steps
you can schedule a serum 25(OH)D and serum total calcium level check in 4 to 6 weeks ( optional not required)
There are chances of toxicity . But to know the chances you should check the vit d dose injected to you . Moreover your initial vit d level and how many prior dose of oral vitamin d you had taken.
A single accidental vitamin D injection along with your scheduled 60,000 IU oral dose is unlikely to cause toxicity, but the injection strength and product matter. Please do not take any more vitamin D until this is clarified. Toxicity is usually due to repeated excess doses, but excess calcium can cause nausea, vomiting, constipation, marked thirst, frequent urination, weakness or confusion.
Next Steps
Today, contact the clinic or pharmacy and ask for the injection name, strength and time given. Arrange serum calcium, creatinine and 25-OH vitamin D testing with a doctor, especially if you have symptoms. Seek urgent care for persistent vomiting, confusion, severe weakness or dehydration. You may book a Practo consult with me for review.
Health Tips
Avoid any further vitamin D until the injection details and dose are confirmed.
One extra vitamin D dose on top of what you already took today is very unlikely to cause toxicity. That level of risk usually needs very high doses repeated over weeks, not a single mix-up.
Next Steps
Call the clinic to confirm the exact dose in that injection and log it in your records.
Health Tips
Hold off on more vitamin D until your doctor reviews this. Nausea or unusual thirst would be reasons to call sooner.
