Vitamin D and B12 deficiency can cause tiredness and muscle cramps. Treatment usually includes Vitamin D supplements and B12 tablets/injections, along with sunlight exposure and balanced diet. Please consult a doctor to start the correct dose based on your reports.

Hello. Vitamin D and B12 deficiency can commonly cause symptoms like tiredness, weakness and muscle cramps, so correcting these deficiencies usually improves symptoms. Next steps: You may benefit from supplementation such as: • Vitamin D3 (cholecalciferol) 60,000 IU once weekly for about 6–8 weeks, then monthly maintenance • Vitamin B12 supplements (oral methylcobalamin tablets or injections depending on level) A combined multivitamin containing B12 and vitamin D may also help if the deficiency is mild. Helpful tips: • Take 15–20 minutes of sunlight exposure daily for natural vitamin D • Include foods rich in B12 like milk, curd, paneer, fortified cereals (or supplements if vegetarian) • Maintain good hydration and gentle stretching to help with muscle cramps Since treatment depends on the exact blood levels, it would be best to review the reports with a doctor to choose the correct dose and duration of supplementation.

Your blood reports show low levels of both Vitamin B12 (193 pg/mL) and Vitamin D (24 ng/mL). These values indicate Vitamin B12 Deficiency and Vitamin D Deficiency, which can commonly cause symptoms such as tiredness, muscle cramps, body aches, and low energy. Both deficiencies are quite common and respond well to proper supplementation and diet correction.
Next Steps
• For Vitamin D deficiency, doctors commonly prescribe Cholecalciferol 60,000 IU once weekly for about 6–8 weeks, followed by a maintenance dose (usually once monthly). • For Vitamin B12 deficiency, treatment may include Methylcobalamin supplements either as tablets or injections depending on symptoms and absorption. • Repeat blood tests after 2–3 months to ensure levels are improving. • If symptoms like severe fatigue, numbness, or persistent cramps continue, further evaluation may be required.
Health Tips
• Spend 15–20 minutes in sunlight (morning sunlight) several days a week to naturally improve Vitamin D levels. • Include milk, curd, eggs, fish, fortified cereals, and mushrooms for Vitamin D. • For Vitamin B12, eat foods like milk, curd, paneer, eggs, fish, and fortified foods (especially important if vegetarian). • Stay well hydrated and maintain regular physical activity, which helps reduce muscle cramps and fatigue. If you’d like, you can book an online consultation and share your full blood reports and diet pattern, and I can guide you with the exact supplementation plan and duration to correct these deficiencies effectively.
