I am suffering from urticarial dermatitis since april this year. i have consulted with multiple dermatologist. All have prescribed prednisolone 10 mg (steroid) for 4 tabs a day for 10 days then 3 tabs for 2 weeks then 2 tabs for 2 weeks like this way. But doctor suggested that to recover from urticaria I have to take steroids for long term. But I am very much concerned about long term steroid consumption. Because they have very bad side effects. So can you please suggest what should I do now? Can It be recovered without steroid medicines?

Kindly share a clear picture in good lighting of affected areas
Hello,
Thank you for your query.
• Based on the information provided, it is difficult to suggest the most appropriate treatment without a proper assessment, as several skin conditions can appear similar.
• Kindly share clear photographs of the affected area in good lighting along with details such as duration of the problem, symptoms, and any treatments used previously.
• I would advise against starting any OTC creams or self-medication, as some products may worsen the condition or delay proper treatment.
• An accurate diagnosis is the first step towards effective and long-lasting results.
You may book a consultation for a detailed evaluation and a personalized treatment plan. I would be happy to guide you further.

Please do not worry. Effective treatment options are available; however, management depends on the severity and extent of the condition. A detailed medical history is essential for appropriate evaluation and treatment planning.
Kindly schedule an online consultation with a dermatologist for a comprehensive assessment, prescription, and further guidance.”
Urticaria is a type of allergic reaction (excessive immune reaction to minute triggers), we should focus on identifying the triggers, which can be anything like food, contact material, inhalational material, medication, infectious focus,, etc. If we can identify & avoid the triggers we can prevent further episodes of Urticaria. There are many antihistamines and steroid sparing agents available currently, no need to take continuous steroids for long term
Next Steps
Try to observe exactly after exposure to which allergic agent, you are getting more itching and rash and avoid the same
Health Tips
Usually seafood, paneer, and underground food act as allergen to most of the sensitive persons
