The classical attack of uric acid related pain occurs mainly in night, > 90 percent times affect great toe, very painful, last for 3 to 5 days. Uric acid level may be normal, increased or decreased during attack. Mild , dull aching or relieve within a couple of minute is usually not related to uric acid related arthritis. For further details and evaluation , Consult a Rheumatologist personally.
Next Steps

Avoid red meat to begin with 2. Occasional pain is best managed with Ice packs and odd painkiller or anti inflammatory like Indomethacin 3. If the pain is associated with severe redness specially at the base of great toe you need a consult
Next Steps
