Thyroid function tests showing TSH level slightly higher than normal range and normal T4 and T3 indicates subclinical hypothyroidism.
In subclinical hypothyroidism treatment is intiated only if the TSH is more than 10 in asymptomatic person.
But in patients with subclinical hypothyroidism if they exhibit symptoms related to hypothyroidism, lower dose of thyroxin is initiated .
Next Steps
get thyroid function tests after 3-4 months to check the TSH level.
