My brother did his blood test and as per reading TSH IS 160 CHOLESTEROL 268 Is it very serious Thyroid medication has started 125mg as per Dr prescription for life time Dr said Do he needs to start cholesterol medicine and if he started will he have to take it lifetime Or can he reduce this cholesterol with diet

Better to start dyslipidemic drugs like Rozuvastatin 20mg OD,along with that dietary restriction of fatty foods.
