Hello Doctor,
I recently had scaling and tooth grinding done 3–4 days ago. Since then, I have noticed a painful irregular sore/cut-like area on the upper inner right cheek near the teeth rubbing area. Pain increases while eating, touching, or cheek movement.
When touched, the area feels slightly irregular/thick like a small lump internally, though there is no obvious visible raised growth from outside.
Could this still be a traumatic/friction ulcer after dental work, or does it look suspicious for oral cancer and require urgent examination? Kindly guide ..thanks I am scared ...

Hello Sir
I would like to know , is it the first time you have experienced this ulcer? As per the photos the last tooth is slightly tilted towards the cheek, as a result of which the sharp edges of teeth ( if there were any prior to grinding/enameloplasty) were in continuous contact with cheek, which lead to Frictional Ulcer.
Give it some time, the ulcer might heal on its own. But mean while as you said its paining during regular mouth movements. You can apply Mucopain ointment prior to eating , it will numb the area required and you can eat without any discomfort.
If the ulcer stays beyond 15days , kindly visit the Dentist.
Also i would suggest to slowly quit tobacco or Atleast switch to Nicotex gums! Prevention is better than Cure♥️
It seems like traumatic ulcer .
You can visit a dentist for coronoplasty to reduce the friction.
You can use Rexidin M forte gel for 7 days
If there is no relief , you should definitely visit a doctor.
Its just a normal oral Ulcer due to continuous friction from your teeth movements with cheeks it has become wide and painful ,
Don’t worry this will heal soon ,
Just use Heximetro gel on the area 4-5 times a day and keep it there for 4-5 minutes and don’t drink water or anything for sometime so that the ulcer heals.
Avoid spicy , more chewing foods so that it can heal faster .
