Hi Mam , fillings are not long lasting , you need to get checkup done by the dentist every 6 months , to check the status of the filling , I feel part of a filling has come out causing a food lodgement which is causing infection and pain , proper clinical examination and X-ray investigations required for diagnosis and treatment plan , Dr.Venkat VDENTIS DENTAL CARE , Hyderabad

Hello Mam, you need to go back to your dentist and get an x-ray done.In deep restorations,there is always a possibility of the tooth getting infected.You may need a Root canal treatment to salvage the tooth. Regards Dr Sumanmakam

Hi,The reason for pain is may be because the filled cavity is deep which can be evaluated with xray .Meanwhile take painkillers to reduce pain & avoid eating from that side.If deep cavity root canal might be required.
