Reasons may be various: Inadequate tooth structure Ill fitted crown/ cap Improper bite Poor oral hygiene maintainance Poor gum health Kindly get an assessment and change the crown as the root canal treated tooth needs protection from forces of occlusion.

Ask your dentist to provide more retention grooves so that the crown holds onto the tooth structure well. Since the tooth is root canal treated getting an endo crown is also an option.

Visit at the earliest and get the issue resolved.
