Dear Patient, Your recent TSH level of 7.5 µIU/mL indicates subclinical hypothyroidism, suggesting that your thyroid is underactive. Abruptly discontinuing your thyroid medication for over 15 days has likely contributed to this elevation. It's essential to understand that stopping thyroid medication without medical supervision can lead to a recurrence of hypothyroid symptoms. GOODRX Recommendations: Resume Medication: It's advisable to restart your previous dose of 62.5 µg of levothyroxine. The typical full replacement dose is approximately 1.6 µg/kg/day, but individual requirements can vary. DRUGS.COM Consult Your Healthcare Provider: Before making any changes to your medication regimen, please consult your healthcare provider. They can provide personalized advice based on your medical history and current health status. Regular Monitoring: After resuming your medication, schedule a follow-up TSH test in 6-8 weeks to assess the effectiveness of the treatment and determine if any dosage adjustments are necessary. Adherence to Medication: To maintain stable thyroid hormone levels and prevent fluctuations in TSH, take your medication consistently as prescribed. If you have further questions or need personalized advice, feel free to contact me directly on WhatsApp at 80098213 three two. Best regards
