Thyroid treatment
My brother is taking thyronorm 50 since 6 months. Now, we consult homeopathic doctor for treatment. Doctor  told that he has hyperthyroid and prescribed the medicine accordingly. Is the medicine uses in homeopathy are same for hypo or hyper thyroid or required to check medical test and start further treatment.

You need to do your TSH levels before starting homoeopathy. Also you need to communicate clearly with the treating doctor about your existing meds.

Hello, Homoeopathy medicine is not prescribed based upon the diagnosis but given on the basis of his symptoms. SO, you can definitely continue the medicines. It is common that a Hypothyroid state under medication can go to Hyperthyroidism. It is always better to get the TFT test taken 3-6 months once. To know more & for any other concern you can call us or reach us online.

Medicine in homoeopathy give on the basis of individual. So don't worry .. in medicine are choosen correctly then that doesn't mean hyper or hypo. If you go for test after using thyronorm then it is also not give exact detail of thyroid function. It all changes according to medicine effect.

Homoeopathic medicine is not selected just on diagnosis. It is matched to the detailed case study. It is better not to compare them to allopathic methods.

We can't compare homoeopathy with allopathy as both pathies are different hence their mode of treatment and principles are not same. In homoeopathy we prescribe medicine on the basis of totality of symptoms of the patient and we treat patient as a whole not the disease.
Next Steps
you can consult online through practo for further queries.

In allopathy there are 2 different medicines for hypothyroidism and hyperthyroidism. On the basis of prescribed medicine any doctor can come to know whether the person has hypo or hyperthyroidism. Homoeopathy medicines are given on the basis of individuality after taking a detail history. The homoepathy medicines used for either of the thyroid ( hypo or hyper),are selected on basis of the personality of a person . Therefore the medicines will be different.
Health Tips
It is better to clear your doubts with the doctor to whom you have consulted.
