Please don’t panic — your thyroid report is NOT dangerous and does not indicate hypothyroidism. Your values: • T3 = 0.73 ng/mL (slightly low or low-normal depending on lab range) • T4 = 6.00 µg/dL (normal) • TSH = 1.38 mIU/L (perfectly normal) What this actually means This pattern is commonly seen in: 1. Euthyroid Sick Pattern (Most Likely) When the body is stressed, recovering from illness, not eating well, or sleep-deprived, T3 may temporarily fall even though the thyroid gland is normal. TSH stays normal → thyroid is working fine. 2. Low T3 Syndrome / Early non-thyroidal illness Happens during: • Recent fever / infection • Stress or anxiety • Poor nutrition • Crash dieting • Gastric issues • Irregular sleep It corrects on its own once your body recovers. 3. Lab variation T3 fluctuates throughout the day and is the least reliable of the three. What is IMPORTANT is your TSH: Your TSH = 1.38 → This means your thyroid gland is functioning normally. If there was a true thyroid problem, TSH would be high or low. So you do NOT have hypothyroidism.
Next Steps
Do you need treatment? No. No thyroid medicine is needed with this report.
Health Tips
What should you do now? • Eat well • Reduce stress • Sleep regularly • Repeat thyroid test after 8–12 weeks if needed Your thyroid is not the cause of your symptoms. A slightly low T3 with normal T4 and perfect TSH is not a disease. It is very common, temporary, and usually related to stress or recent illness. Your thyroid gland is healthy.

A slightly low T3 with normal T4 and normal TSH is NOT thyroid disease. This pattern is usually due to: Stress Poor sleep Illness/infection Low calories / dieting Heavy exercise Night-shift lifestyle This is called “low T3 syndrome / non-thyroidal illness” and does NOT require thyroid medicine. Your thyroid (TSH 1.38) is perfectly normal. Repeat the test after 4–6 weeks—you will likely see T3 back to normal.

As your T4 and TSH values are normal no need to worry. The low T3 levels may be due to many other reasons like stress, recent infection, poor nutirion, iron or zinc deficiency, pcos. So in my opinion you can focus on having a good balanced diet and you can also include some physical activity in your daily routine.
Next Steps
You can alsoo go for a repeat test of thyroid profile after a month or so.

See TSH & T4 levels are normal which are important in our boudy and has significance for body metabolism. T3 is little bit on lower side which is insignificant and not to worry about. Might be because of infection, trauma, poor nutrition. You dont have Hypothyroid. Not to worry. Repeat Thyroid profile after 6 months. Use iodinized salt rather than rocksalt or seasalt.
