There are multiple causes because of which one can have tingling in the teeth, some of the reasons are cavity, fracture, abrasion, attrition etc. So its important to know the cause first. for symptomatic relief you can use any desensitizing (remineralization) tooth paste, but you should definitely visit dentist and get it treated ASAP.

First thing we need to do is find the cause for sensitivity It may be carious tooth, attrition or abrasion on teeth, gum recession or root exposure, stress on teeth means bruxism or any signs of TMD, extreme hot or cold shock to pulp. Due to above and many other reasons like microfracture or sinusitis or even nerve issues in advanced conditions may lead to sensitivity. Even few cases have hyper reactive pulp or nerve.. So find the cause and treat it if it is good to go...   for long term results or if it is worsening then root canal in respective teeth might be helpful. CT scan usually may find microfractures.. Let your dentist decide what is best for you and your oral health.

If you are experiencing tingling in your teeth and difficulty drinking water, it is important to see a dentist or a medical professional as soon as possible to determine the underlying cause of the symptoms. Here are some possible remedies based on the underlying cause: Tooth sensitivity: If the tingling is due to tooth sensitivity, your dentist may recommend using a toothpaste for sensitive teeth or a fluoride gel. They may also suggest having a dental sealant or a fluoride treatment applied to your teeth to help strengthen them. Gum disease: If gum disease is the cause of your symptoms, your dentist will recommend a thorough cleaning of your teeth and gums to remove plaque and tartar buildup. They may also suggest an antimicrobial rinse or a prescription medication to help reduce inflammation. Nerve damage: If the tingling is due to nerve damage, your dentist or doctor may prescribe a pain reliever or recommend over-the-counter pain relievers. They may also recommend a referral to a specialist for further evaluation and treatment
