Hello,
It looks like a periapical cyst or abcess . Better get a root canal treatment and we would require some intervention i.e treatment with the lesion as well. Kindly don't postpone the treatment as pain is not there. It May complicate the scenario
In my opinion the condition can be treated and there is good prognosis. The best treatment is Root canal treatment of the teeth related with proper cyst removal .
Thanks for sharing the X-ray.. looks like a cystic lesion irt the tooth .Since there is no pain it’s unlikely to be an abscess .
Treatment include Root canal treatment of the tooth and curettage of the cyst .
It’s not dangerous but if left it will cause bone and root resorption, may get bigger and eventually the tooth will be lost .
No need to worry
It’s a periapical cyst/abscess
It can be treated by root canal treatment
Consult your endodontist/root canal specialist
Don’t wait otherwise infection will spread it will lead to mobility of tooth I.e loosening of tooth
Hi ,
First of all there is nothing to worry , It is a routine Day care procedure. Mostly this type of cysts are not dangerous and may be caused due to childhood injury to that tooth or a persistent deep caries.
Firstly Get a CBCT Xray done of that particular tooth to evaluate the exact condition and dimension of the cyst.
After that we can remove the cyst and do the Root canal treatment of the affected tooth . Thats it, Nothing much to worry.
Next Steps
Please do a CBCT xray of the affected tooth area .
Health Tips
Please avoid heavy biting on that particular tooth.
Hello,
Most cysts associated with teeth are not dangerous, but they should not be ignored. Many of these cysts develop due to long-standing infection at the root of a tooth and may not cause pain initially, which is why they often go unnoticed.
Based on the X-ray, this appears to be a periapical cyst or chronic infection related to the tooth. Even in the absence of pain, the infection can slowly increase in size and may affect the surrounding bone if left untreated.
Treatment usually involves root canal treatment of the affected tooth, after which the lesion often reduces in size on its own. In some cases, additional minor surgical intervention may be required depending on the size and healing response.
Next Steps
It is advisable not to delay treatment just because there is no pain at present, as postponing can lead to complications later. An in-person evaluation with a dentist will help plan the most appropriate treatment.
