Scaling is possible on teeth having cavities but the patient will have severe sensitivity while doing so. The cavity treatment should be addressed first.

scaling(cleaning) of teeth is to remove soft and hard deposits (plaque and calculus)
There is always some in accesible areas in our mouth that needs to be cleaned (scaling ) by dentists...
It will improve our gingival health ..
For cavity problem you need to do caries and debris removal and go with filling if the cavity is small...
If it is large cavity and it reaches the pulp(nerve) layer you should go with Root canal treatment...

Scaling will not remove any of your cavities, for cavities we need to do a filling... Scaling will remove only plaque and stains... The cost will range from 1000-1500..

Hi....Teeth with cavity can undergo scaling but that would not serve any purpose.Cavities need to be filled if it is not deep.Scaling will remove stains and deposits on surface of tooth. Cost will vary depending on your oral hygiene.

Teeth having cavity can not be treated by scaling as scaling is vibratory procedure which do not not remove cavities but if you have stains that can be removed with the help of scaling and you have to go for full mouth scaling which will provide you better hygiene
