Clinical features & Diagnosis is not clear. Is it the first episode or multiple episodes happened. How long have you been taking meds. Are there any suicidal attempt or ideas. Severity of illness not known. It's difficult to answer your question. Please consult your Psychiatrist & make a decision.

Yes you can taper down slowly if symptoms are in total remission and while tapering symptoms don't resurface again. Consult your psychiatrist he/ she will help along those lines.

Dear patient, It's not advisable to adjust dosages without due medical supervision so as to avoid untoward side effects during the withdrawal period. Although specific medical advice is based on ones history , diagnosis and post thorough examination. I would advise you to contact your consulting doctor remotely, or find a different psychiatrist that's willing to supervise this transition for you. Regards Dr. Vaidehee M.D
Next Steps
contact consulting psychiatrist / find an alternative

Dear Friend, Thank you for reaching out. Nexito (Escitalopram) and Quitipine (Quetiapine) are medications that should be tapered cautiously and always under medical supervision. Since you’ve been on them for over two months and are experiencing side effects, a gradual taper may be appropriate, but this depends on: Your original diagnosis (e.g., depression, anxiety, sleep disturbance, etc.) Current mental health status Severity and type of side effects Any past treatment history
Next Steps
a) Please consult your treating psychiatrist to discuss a personalized tapering schedule. b) Do not stop or reduce the medications on your own, as this can lead to withdrawal symptoms or relapse of symptoms.
Health Tips
1. Keep a symptom diary to track side effects and mood changes. 2. Do not adjust doses without supervision. 3. If symptoms worsen or new issues arise during taper, report them immediately.

First of all , I will advise not to adjust dose of medication on your own, if you want to taper it, discuss with the doctor. On the basis of improvement in symptoms, these medications will be gradually tapered & stopped one by one in few months.Do not bother responding dependence or addiction as when a person take these medications on his own in heavy dose without guidance or prescription of doctor for a very long time, then dependence develops, if you stop these medications on your own, the response will be reversed, symptoms will reoccur in more severe form, then more no of medications will be needed to control symptoms. So trust your doctor, don't adjust dose on your own
Next Steps
medications will be tapered as per guidance of doctor, so discuss with doctor

If your symptoms improved completely, it has to be tapered gradually one after another and stop. But it has to be done under the guidance of Psychiatrist because faster tapering leads to relapse of symptoms.
Next Steps
Please consult online for appropriate treatment order as I can't provide prescription in the queries section
