If there is a weight gain issue, but sleep without Quetiapine is not sound, there are certain measure: * Gradually taper dose of Quetiapine to 25 mg , then12.5 mg over a period of month, along with it use other medications as melatonin or zolpidem, concurrently watching the relapse of symptoms as disturbed sleep or irritability * On low dose of Quetiapine, weight gain is less likely * Can read regarding sleep hygiene on net Discuss about advice with your doctor and follow under supervision

Quetiapine at 50 milligrams, although originally meant as an antipsychotic, is often used at low doses to help with sleep and anxiety. At this level, it works more through its calming effect on histamine and serotonin pathways than as an antipsychotic. That is why it helps with sleep but also causes side effects like weight gain and morning grogginess. Over time, many people find that they cannot sleep without it, which suggests a form of dependence, not addiction. While quetiapine can be used safely in the long term under supervision, regular use without proper follow up may lead to issues with metabolism, blood sugar, and cholesterol. If your anxiety or sleep problem was never fully resolved at the root, this kind of surface control can become a long standing habit that is hard to stop.
Next Steps
You do not need to stop quetiapine suddenly. Since it helps you sleep, continue for now but plan to monitor your health. Do a blood test for fasting sugar, thyroid function, and lipid profile if you have not done so in the last six months. If all parameters are normal, and your anxiety is under reasonable control with Nexito 10, then you can consider a very gradual reduction. A good taper plan would be to reduce the dose by twelve point five milligrams every three to four weeks, watching for changes in sleep quality and mood. If your past doctors kept changing medicines and nothing worked, it is better to stay with Nexito and one consistent sleep support rather than switching too often. Once you feel emotionally steady, alternatives like melatonin, Ashwagandha, or magnesium glycinate can help bridge the transition off quetiapine. But only introduce those when you are stable.
Health Tips
To naturally improve sleep, start winding down at least forty five minutes before bed. Stop screen use and avoid loud or fast paced content. Drink warm milk with a pinch of nutmeg or dry ginger. Rub warm sesame oil on your feet and temples just before sleeping. This calms the nervous system and supports melatonin release. Practice slow nasal breathing with bhramari or alternate nostril breathing to deepen rest. To manage weight gain, walk for fifteen minutes after dinner and keep your last meal light and free from excess rice or sugar
