Detailed medical history needs to be assessed before starting you on your personalised treatment plan
Kindly share a clear picture in good lighting of affected areas
Yes, that can be completely normal. The face is usually darker than the chest in many people because it is exposed to more sunlight, tanning, pollution, and environmental factors. So the face and chest do not always have the same skin tone.
Regarding weight gain, gaining weight generally does not significantly change your natural skin color. If you are currently very thin and gain healthy weight, your skin may look a little healthier, brighter, or less dull because of improved nutrition and blood flow, but it usually won't make your skin dramatically lighter. Your genetically determined skin tone remains largely the same.
The most important factors affecting facial darkening are sun exposure, tanning, pigmentation disorders, and skincare habits rather than body weight.
Next Steps
Use a broad-spectrum sunscreen (SPF 30–50+) every day, reapply when outdoors, wear a cap/hat, and avoid excessive sun exposure.
Face is exposed to outside climate, UV and other light rays, that is why it is slightly darker when compared to your chest area. If you come to ideal weight it will be beneficial for your skin health also, but if you become over weight there will be insulin resistance, acanthosis nigricans, appearance of stretch marks,....
Next Steps
Regular use of sunscreen with spf 50+ once in every 3-4 hrs, Night face serum and or MOISTURIZER, you can go for chemical peeling session by Consultant Dermatologist
Health Tips
Regular use of sunscreen as well as sun protection in the form of caps, hats, umbrella,, maintain proper hydration, regular exercise and maintain healthy ideal body weight
Hello,
Thank you for your query.
• Based on the information provided, it is difficult to suggest the most appropriate treatment without a proper assessment, as several skin conditions can appear similar.
• Kindly share clear photographs of the affected area in good lighting along with details such as duration of the problem, symptoms, and any treatments used previously.
• I would advise against starting any OTC creams or self-medication, as some products may worsen the condition or delay proper treatment.
• An accurate diagnosis is the first step towards effective and long-lasting results.
You may book a consultation for a detailed evaluation and a personalized treatment plan. I would be happy to guide you further.
Please do not worry. Effective treatment options are available; however, management depends on the severity and extent of the condition. A detailed medical history is essential for appropriate evaluation and treatment planning.
Kindly schedule an online consultation with a dermatologist for a comprehensive assessment, prescription, and further guidance.”
