Uterus gets enlarged during pregnancy  after delivery it takes time to reduce size within 21 days it will not be palpable per abdomen and one more thing  uterus becomes near normal after 6 weeks but not completely of prepregnancy size don't worry if any one says or radiology report comes as Bulky uterus its normal after child birth

Hello, The uterus as you said swollen is because post delivery it rakes 6 weeks for the uterus to go back to its original position Regarding the pains, it is called after pains which usually happens when uterus contracts and tried to go back to its original position, they are more when breastfeeding and more like menstrual cramps. This is all normal Follow up in case you have heavy bleeding, severe pain in abdomen, foul smelling vaginal discharge. Regards, Dr Pooja Kolhe

Uterus will already been swollen because it is not a organ which is going into the pelvis as soon as the delivery happens mostly your uterus will be towards your right or left in any kind of a case because it is and large and it wants to go inside the more you feed the baby the hurt of the uterus will be experienced and it is absolutely normal if you are not bleeding heavily no need to worry shrink back to its place
