Normally there won't be any problem after capping. If there is any such swelling it may be as a result of infection or inflammation.
Next Steps
Consult dentist
Health Tips
Saline mouth wash

The history of the tooth that has been treated requires more details - has that tooth been done root canal treatment before placing the cap ? Is that tooth mobile ? Do you have X-ray of the tooth before the treatment carried out.
Next Steps
You need to take a new X-ray and evaluate the situation
Health Tips
Take a specialist appointment and get the proper diagnosis followed by suggested treatment .

I will suggest to get the x-ray done to know the cause of the pain instead of trying to subside with medicines
