hello sir,it might be possible tat tooth is infected and doing a filling may cause swelling due to pressure . or it might be that you are allergic to the material. Get a complete check up with xrays to understand better.
Next Steps
complete check up along with xray.

Hi, Thank you for the query. This concern is a known issue with fillings if not done right. There is something called Composite Shrinkage which may cause pain. You get Immediate relief once the filling is removed. Usually if the filling is re done it should resolve the issue. With regards to the gum swelling, there are multiple factors to assess. 1. Is there pus exudate from the Swelling ? 2. What is the location of the swelling ? 3. Is it generalized around the tooth area ? 4. Does the X ray also show any signs of infection ? Based on all these factors, you can select antibiotics to resolve infection, if that is the reason. Or Maybe get an assessment from a Gum Specialist. The concern here could be a combination of Gum related issues and Filling related. Both of which can be treated separately with good outcome and prognosis. Alternatively, please visit Oraliah Dental Clinics for an assessment with our Endodontist.

As you give a very less details about your problem it's not clear about your problem.Few questions may arise like- 1.Do you have any pain? 2.What type Restoration (filling) your dentist is doing? 3.Is it only filling or RCT? 4.what was your problem? For which you visited to ur dentist? 5.did you go for any X ray.
Next Steps
look you firstly you may be allergic to the material that is being restored. secondly you have a deep periapical pathology like SINUS TRACT formation and granulation tissue formation.when tooth is restored the pressure increases from above and swells the gum.
Health Tips
better you clearly ask your dentist about this concern .And highlight him these following points, your problem may resolve.👍

It may be due to high points or may be due pressure of filling. You should go for an x-ray first and attach that xray so that we can evaluate that caries are deep or not . May be pulp is exposed due to which filling pressure cause pain and swelling.
