Swollen Gums (Gingivitis) can be caused due to various reasons like hygiene issue where she has a lot of deposits over the teeth or can also be any systemic/hormonal problems. It is not caused usually due to cold weather. If there is sharp pain or anything oozing out or swollen in a specific area, it could be localized infection which must be treated. Generalized swollen gums can be seen in her age which can be attributed to menopause causing hormonal changes or any drug side effect which she might be taking on a regular basis. So please consult with a dentist to identify the cause and treat accordingly.

Hello ma’am First we need to see the cause of swelling then only it is advisable to take medicines. Only medicines and not removing the cause will give relief only for that period of time and can also cause relapse of the situation.
