Gum swelling after eating is commonly due to food impaction, gum inflammation, or an underlying dental infection (deep cavity, gum pocket, or wisdom tooth area irritation).
Next Steps
Rinse gently with warm salt water
• Maintain proper oral hygiene (soft brushing, flossing)
• Avoid chewing from that side for now
• Take pain relief if needed
• Get a dental check-up with X-ray to rule out infection or trapped debris
Health Tips
If swelling or pain persists or worsens, do not delay dental treatment.
