I would recommend you to kindly go for a dentist first as it might be due to food accumulation around your capping, if done on Root Canal treated tooth or there might be any issue in RCT. That will only be seen clinically. As you are lactating your baby, this will be the best method to prescribe you correct medicine if required.
Next Steps
For now, do warm saline rinses. It will definitely help you.

The swelling could be because of any impounding infection in that area. Warm water salt gargles 3-4 times/day for 7 days is the recommended line of procedure in case the swelling is superficial and reversible. If not receding in a week, please visit nearby dentist or feel free to consult me if you are in Bangalore for further diagnosis.
Next Steps
Warm water salt gargles - 3 times/day for 7 days
Health Tips
If not subsiding, please visit your nearby dentist and get it resolved.

Hello If you are feeling swelling near the gum region of root canal treated tooth, there might be some infection in the tooth which will be visible only through clinical examination and radiographs. If the tooth is creating discomfort to you you can take a mild pain killer such as paracetamol but I will not suggest any strong medicines or antibiotics since you are feeding and it might affect the feed of the baby. It would be better if you can visit a dentist and get a proper check up done
