Suffering from OCD for last one year.
I am a house wife and suffering from OCD. I always wash my clothes and clean my home but never satisfy. I waste lots of time doing cleanship and religious things. At a time lots of thoughts disturb me and I feel helpless. Whenever I go outside I wash my two wheeler and sometimes don't go outside despit washing Scotty.please suggest.

Hello.. Would suggest to meet a psychiatrist and also a psychologist. Are you on any medication. Stress and OCD both can treated. Don’t worry about it. Please consult and follow techniques and suggestions given by them.

OCD is a completely treatable disorder. It's an anxiety disorder. There are very  specific and scientific  treatment modalities available for OCD.
Next Steps
You should immediately seek help with a trained Clinical Psychologist, who can help you in dealing with OCD. it would approximately take around 7- 10 sessions. In most of the cases it can be treated without medication as well, if client understand the nature of problem and have strong will to improve.

Hello, If the thoughts are repetitive, not under your control, causing distress so much that its hampering your day to day life then you might have OCD. It may worsen over time. OCD can affect anyone and it can be treated with medication and behavior therapy.

Repetitive tasks, intrusive and repetitive thoughts, checking, counting, disproportionate excess need for order and cleanliness, as well as anxiety when not able to do the same are signs of obsessive compulsive disorder. Patients with OCD suffer from significant distress, anxiety and depression due to the same which impairs their quality of life. Please consult a Psychiatrist at the earliest. With a combination of medication and behavioral therapy it is likely that the symptoms will improve

Current OC symptoms indicates high severity of illness. Consider both SSRI ( Nexito) and CBT under direct supervision of a psychiatrist. Consider all as very active mgtay be IP care. I prefer to suggest you to pay visit to NIMHANS only friday
