Sudden pain in knee and pain while walki
My mother today suddenly she got a cramp in her knee and crack type voice from evening she is not able to walk properly not her leg is getting fold. It is painning a lot. Can someone please suggest a quick home therapy till we visit a doctor? She took paracetamol as well no effect yet

This seems more of the knee cap issue where the knee cap gets locked leading ti all that she is having. It's patellofemoral pain with patella malalignment.

A sudden pain n locking can be due to a Meniscal or cartilage problem. Ask her to rest it , ice it use a brace for the knee and take anti inflammatory medications and avoid bending the knee till the pain settles. See an orthopaedic surgeon as early as possible. Cheers

Apply ICE, take rest and elevate limb over a pillow. Can take over the counter pain killer like combiflam
